OOTD| Work Style
A good friend of mine told me that it is best for us to dress not for the job that we currently have, but for the job that we ultimately want. I smiled keenly and responded, "Hmmm, I don't think I want a job that requires I wear 3-piece suit. Or one where I have to where dress slacks and dress shirts all the time. I want a job that allows me to wear something comfortable." Where I can bend over, twist, lunge, and interact with the people I'm serving. A job in the community. Where I can get my hands a little dirty. 'Cause suits are SUPER itchy. And not very flexible.
And I am so thankful and BLESSED that I have a workplace that embraces this. Where we can express our individuality without the pressure to fit a certain look. Of course, professional meetings and conferences call for a tidied-up appearance, but I must say that it is SO nice to have my everyday clothes for work be ones that I can wear both on and off the job!
